Only natural materials (e.g. millet straws, raffia, banana leaf ribs) are used for weaving these finely crafted baskets. All the coloured dyes used are from Uganda. We extract them from roots, flowers, leaves and lichens. We guarantee that no artificial colours are used. Come and visit and we will show you the way we make the dyes from the plants we grow.
Between 25-30 hours of hard work are needed to produce a single medium sized basket. The symetrical designs take years of practice to perfect.
The prices range from $2.00 to $8.00
